Lollipops is a playful, sugary-sweet quilt. Picture it centered on a round table, surrounded by stacks of birthday presents, pink and purple balloons, and a chocolate cake topped with pink and purple sprinkles – pretty please! The whimsical design originally began as peppermints, until my husband remarked that the swirling shapes resembled the al-day suckers he remembers from his childhood. Since “All-Day Sucker” is a terrible name for a quilt, the idea evolved in “Lollipops”. The fun idea was a perfect fit for the Hoffman Challenge Fabrics and won First Place in the Pieced Category.
This design is very challenging and recommended for experienced quilters.
