A New Twist on an Old Idea

Kadee uses 3D printing technology to create precise template stamps for traditional hand-piecing.

This home-based business allows her to keep prices low and also gives her the flexibility to create custom stamps to fit a specific idea or design. If you can dream it, she can draw it!

Our story

It all started with a call from Kadee to her mom back in 2010. “Do you want to take a quilt class with me?”

“Of course!” she said.

“It’s in Tennessee” Kadee told her.

“Okay…”

“And it’s hand-piecing.”

For a woman who didn’t even sew a button on by hand, Kadee’s mother said yes anyway. They traveled from Idaho to Tennessee, not knowing that their journey had just begun.

A Love of Handwork

Although Kadee enjoys machine piecing, hand-piecing has become her passion. The portability of hand-piecing allows her to sew in her easy chair; while traveling by car; plane, or boat; in hospital waiting rooms, and sitting by the campfire in the beautiful mountains of Idaho.

Template stamps simplify the process needed to prepare fabric for hand-piecing. Template stamps also eliminate the inaccuracies that are inherent in tracing plastic templates.
